PARTICIPATION OF NEXT PLUS IN THE EXERCISE EYZS-4 OF KEMEA

NEXT PLUS in the capacity of Security Consultant at Lavrio Port Authority SA, participated together with representatives of Lavrio Port Authority SA in the Exercise of the code name EYZS 4, organized by the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA), in the framework of targeted actions to increase the protection of nationally designated European Critical Infrastructures in implementation of Directive 2008/114 / EC

The Port Authority of Lavrio SA  was selected by KEMEA and participated as a representative of Maritime Transport & Ports in the Exercise of Operations under the code name Ε.Υ.Ζ.Σ 4.

In the exercise, which due to the current health protocols was carried out by the method of teleconference from the coordination center of KEMEA on Thursday 08/04/2021 and on Friday 09/04/2021 between 08.30-13.30, participated ten (10) selected infrastructures Transport and Energy and ten (10) involved Ministries and Government Agencies.

For the optimal and efficient participation of Lavrio Port Authority in the exercise, the Emergency Coordination and Management Center (KSDEA) as described in the Emergency Management Plan (SAKEA) of Lavrio Port Authority  SA, was decided and simulated at NEXT PLUS offices.

The Exercise was attended by the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Mr. Vodinas Evangelos and the Assistant PFSO  Mrs. Adami Eftychia and from NEXT PLUS, the Security Consultants of Lavrio Port Authority SA, Mr Kavdas Konstantinos and Mr Kraniotis Marinos.

The exercise, which aimed to test the high-level use of threat / risk mapping applications, risk assessment, incident reporting, and the proper handling and management of critical information during emergencies, is described as successful.

NEXT PLUS and its executives, together with Lavrio Port Authority SA, have participated in most of the Exercises organized by KEMEA in the framework of the targeted actions for the Increased Protection of the Nationally Characterized European Infrastructures of vital importance in application of the Directive 2008/114 / EC .
