“ADAPTATION OF MUNICIPAL PORT FUND OF SOUTHERN DODECANESE (RHODES)

TO THE NEW SCHENGEN ENTRY-EXIT SYSTEM”

The Port of Rhodes, located at the crossroads of the two major sea lanes of the Mediterranean, between the Aegean and the shores of the Middle East, is one of the most important ports for cruise ships, (can accommodate up to eight cruise ships with a length of 250 each), while at the same time it serves daily a significant number of cruise ships from / to Turkey being an important Maritime Border Crossing Point (BCP).

The Municipal Port Fund of Southern Dodecanese, recognizing the importance of the Port of Rhodes as a BCP, assigned to our company its  adaption to the new requirements of Regulation (EU) 2017/2226 and the individual instructions of the Border Protection Directorate of the Hellenic Police Headquarters and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy.
