JULY 2025 – FIRST CRUISE SHIP  AT «PORTO CARRAS MARINA SA»

The Port Facility “Porto Carras Marina SA” located within the Porto Carras Grand Resort Hotel Complex hosted for the first time, on Friday, July 11, 2025, the luxury cruise ship Crystal Symphony with 480 passengers and 501 crew members, opening a new page in its long history. Our Company, which prepared the Port Facility Security Plan and coordinates, as the Port Facility Security Advisor, the security measures and procedures, had an active role in the successful handling of the first Cruise Ship.

Both passengers and crew had a special experience enjoying the special natural beauty of the area, with organized excursions to Mount Athos and the archaeological site of Stagira, and with most passengers and crew choosing from the multiple activities offered by Porto Carras Grand Resort, such as, among others, cycling, wine tasting, golf, horse riding, and unique beaches.

The creation of a Port Facility, in the 300-berth Marina of Porto Carras Resort, which also hosts Mega Yachts up to 60 meters long, creates new possibilities for the development of Cruises in the North Aegean, with new idyllic destinations as requested by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
